Our commitment
KTV plans and delivers programs with children’s safety and wellbeing at the centre. We aim to prevent harm, respond to concerns promptly and treat every child fairly regardless of background, ability, identity or family circumstances.
People and practices
KTV uses appropriate recruitment, screening, supervision and conduct expectations for staff and volunteers. Program risks, venues, activities, supervision and emergency arrangements are considered before and during delivery.
Consent and supervision
Parents and carers provide current emergency, medical, support and collection information and consent for participation. KTV staff follow the recorded collection or independent-leaving instructions and may check identity where needed to keep a child safe.
Children have a voice
Children and young people are encouraged to speak up, ask questions, set appropriate boundaries and tell a trusted adult if something feels unsafe. KTV takes concerns seriously and considers the child’s needs, views, privacy and immediate safety.
Respectful behaviour
Participants, families, staff and volunteers are expected to act safely and respectfully. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, violence, grooming, exploitation and other harmful behaviour are not accepted. KTV may take immediate protective action where needed.
Raising a concern
Use the Contact page to raise a child-safety or wellbeing concern with KTV. Keep online details brief and do not include unnecessary sensitive information. KTV will assess the concern, take appropriate protective action and involve relevant authorities or services where required.
