The story so far
Kids and Teens in the Valley are working in all of the schools in the Derwent Valley to better understand young people's views and needs from community. How do the community support our young people? How do we engage with them? What do we hear? Chatterboxes are fun to make and ask questions in an engaging way!
We are working to engage and create a strong youth voice network over this year. The Youth Summit is an opportunity to shine a light on these voices, recheck in on community themes, dreams, wants and needs. This Youth Summit will set the KTV Team, and other youth focused organisations up for their work over the next 3 years, and beyond.
We are looking to work with all the schools in the Valley and have representative young people attend the Youth Summit this year. We are working to connect with young people to help create and co-design the summit, discuss themes, opportunities and create content. As part of leadership programs in schools, we are supporting the development of projects, and leadership outcomes.
